Support the Arts! Become my Patron! Tell Me What to Do!

Hey, you guys.

I'm afraid I have some bad news. Starting Monday, July 24th, I will be turning on ads for all my content: blogs and YouTube channel. I hate to do this to ya as I loathe ads myself, but I need the income. But, there is another solution.

Also starting Monday will be my Patreon page. That's right--you can become my patron! By becoming my patron, it'll allow me to keep working on all the awesome content that I know you guys love. Plus, I've got some cool rewards for all you all, and even better rewards if the goals are met, such as getting rid of all ads!

So hop on down to my Patreon and become the Queen Elizabeth to my Shakespeare. I really appreciate it.

Blogging and Branding

Hey there, all you happy people out there in writing land. As you can tell, my name is Bryan C. Laesch, and I'm a writer.

I apologize for the lackluster start to this entry the reason being that I really hate blogging. You see, I've started and stopped blogging many times over the past years. For a while, there was one blog that I kept up quite a lot, but that too fell apart. But now, I am reduced to being forced to blog as a means of connecting with my audiences because it could make or break me as a self-published author. Or at least, that's the general consensus of writers out there.

Honestly, if I could just keep making videos for YouTube, that would be preferable. Not necessarily easier since there's a lot of work in planning, shooting, editing, rendering, and then uploading, but I think that would make more of a difference. Anyway...

Besides my triumphant return to blogging, this blog will also help me establish my brand, which then raises an important question: what is my brand? Who is Bryan C. Laesch and what can he do for you?

One of the reasons why this question is so difficult to answer is because I'm not a specialist in the writing world. Some writers focus on one main genre--I don't. If it exists, I write it... except erotica and avant garde. But, this includes adventure, action, thriller, suspense, mystery, horror, romance, drama, sci-fi, fantasy, poetry, plays, and non-fiction. It's not that I have ADHD, it's just that I have a wide array of interests. Why? The short answer is that I'm an INTJ. (I have a feeling that will become a part of my brand.)

So, what does this mean for my brand? Well, it means touching on just about everything. Anything that could be a topic to write about and explore, I'll probably do it. Which will be vastly confusing for my audience as they try to discern why I'm writing about how to make a romantic scene when last week I was telling them the details of how to scare the pants off someone. Yes, indeed, it is unfortunate, but that's my brand.

This is my return to blogging, and the start of my brand.
